The course is supported by a wealth of high quality, professionally drafted materials. Students work with legal problems through the use of realistic evidence familiar to practising lawyers such as client letters, claim forms, witness statements, and Police National Computer records. This gives them a feel for the paperwork used in day to day legal practice and introduces them to the ambiguities of real evidence so they are learning how to practice good law in the real world from the start.
From the beginning, students are taught to keep their client’s interests and instructions, in mind all the time. They are also taught to think how their own arguments will be received by a judge trying to decide a case, or a jury deliberating its verdict.
